Still time to ‘voice your choice’

THE Scarborough Urban Area Forum will once again be linking up with the council’s Urban Area Committee to allocate more than £19,000 to local community projects through the Voice Your Choice process.

Voice Your Choice puts the decision making power over what gets funded and what does not into the hands of local residents.

This year the theme for Voice Your Choice is “quality built and natural environments” and voluntary and community groups are urged to submit applications for any relevant projects they may have.

Grants are available for between £500 and £2,000 and there is no upper limit on total project cost, although any relevant match funding must be secure and in place.

Projects must be able to demonstrate a benefit to residents of the Scarborough Urban Area.

To request an application pack, contact the council’s neighbourhood support officers Kerry Lee on (01723) 232472 or Matthew Joseph on (01723) 383562.
