THE Food Lovers Festival in Malton at the weekend proved to be so popular that organisers now admit they face new challenges to ensure its popularity in years to come.
Organisers estimate a record-breaking 20,000 people attended the two-day event – thousands more than in previous years.
Festival organiser Tom Naylor-Leyland said: “The amount of people coming to the festival was overwhelming. With the success has come some exciting challenges. The square is now approaching capacity so we need to start thinking about the way we hope to expand in the years ahead and to build on the experience and value for the visitors and businesses.”
