Three North Yorkshire restaurants have made it into the Good Food Guide for the first time.
The Talbot Hotel, Malton, The Star @ Sancton and the Woodlands Cafébar in Whitby are all featured in the latest edition of the gourmets’ bible.
Compilers lauded the Talbot for its “flair and care”; The Star @ Sancton for its “appealingly local menus and sound cooking” and The Woodlands Cafébar was described as a “charming eatery by the sea”.
There are 80 restaurants from Yorkshire featured in The Good Food Guide 2013.
One of the longest-serving restaurants in The Good Food Guide is The Magpie Café in Whitby featuring in the guide for 33 years.
Elizabeth Carter, consultant Editor of the guide, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome new eateries from Yorkshire into The Good Food Guide this year.
“It is fantastic to see that there are really strong dining options to be enjoyed across the region.”
