FORMER Coronation Street star Bruce Jones joins Futurist favourites the Chuckle Brothers and Cannon and Ball for summer at the seafront venue.
The three events will share the season starting with the Chuckles’ Barry Potty and his Full Blood Brother Paul in the Ghostly Shadows on July 28.
The Harry Potter spoof will then run on August 4, 11, 25 and Stepember 1.
Bruce Jones, Corrie’s Les Battersby, will be joined by Hollyoaks’ Lee Otway, granddad and granddaughter 2 Grand who wowed the audience on Britain’s Got Talent and Sky TV’s Oliver.
Bruce Jones’s Summer Spectacular opens on July 31 and will run on August 7, 14, 21, and 29. “Anyone visiting Scarborough wanting a night of music, dancing in the aisles, laughter, stories of Corrie and value for money must come and see this show,” said a spokesman.
Comedy duo Cannon Ball will play two dates: August 10 and 24. Also in the spring/summer line-up at the Scarborough venue are spiritualist Derek Acorah (July 8), entertainer Joe Longthorne (August 22) and Ken Dodd (August 27).
There is music from tribute acts Them Beatles (August 5); Super Trouper (April 24); and Back for Good, who celebrate the hits of Take That (August 19).
Dolly The Show: A Celebration Of the Leading Lady Of Country is on August 20 and Gary Mullen and the Works recreate the music of Queen on August 28.
It’s back to the 1960s with Hit Parade Heroes Jet Harris, John Leyton and Mike Berry and The Flames on August 12.
UWE Big Time American Wrestling show has been booked in for two dates, August 9 and August 23.
Comedy is on the bill with Micky Flanagan on April 16 and Dave Spikey on October 7.
The hit stage version of Calendar Girls arrives for a week from September 19 and children’s show The Tiger who Came to Tea is on May 6 and 7.
