A MODERN version of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar can be seen at Raincliffe School next week.

It will be brought right up to date, with a raw edge to it, says director Ruth Parker-Wakeling.

Ruth is the leader of performing arts at Graham and Raincliffe schools, which have been combined into a federation.

The show is the first federation production and the first at the new theatre at Raincliffe.

Ruth says: “The cast is young, full of new talent and very excited about what is shaping up to be a very visual and powerful production.

“They have been hard working and committed throughout. Despite some initial hiccups they have kept their spirits up and believed in this production from the start. I have nothing but pride and admiration for them. The production has something for everyone and is full of energy”.

The show runs next Tuesday to Thursday, at 7pm.
