A COFFEE morning is set to be held in Scarborough to boost diabetes support in the town.
The event is set to take place at Westborough Methodist Church on Saturday, and has been organised by the Diabetes UK Scarborough Volunteer Group.
There will be an information stall, raffle and greetings cards will be on sale.
Shirley Foulds, one of the organisers said: “We really do hope that as many people as possible will come along and support us.
“Diabetes is an awful condition and there are thousands of people in the borough who have the illness.
“However, armed with the right information, appropriate lifestyle changes and correct medication people can lead perfectly normal lives.
“Our support group offers a friendly listening ear and provides information about the illness.
“Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and join us for a cuppa and a natter.”
The event will take place between 10am and noon.
