A pro surf event in Scarborough’s North Bay got off to a great start on Saturday.
Crowds flocked to the event, which features a number of attractions and continues all weekend.
Some of the UK’s finest surfers will be showcasing their skills, along with mountain bike freestylers who will be giving demonstrations in Royal Albert Drive.
There will also be live music at Blue Crush and the Watermark cafe.
Speaking on Saturday, UK Pro Surf Tour director Steve Parrott said: “The surf’s up and its packed. The event is much bigger than last year.
“The waves have picked up from midday and our main showpiece events will take place tomorrow.
“We’re really chuffed with how it’s going so far. Lots of people have said they’re glad to see us back again this year.”
He added that many people had travelled from far and wide to be part of the event.
