One fan is Chris Taylor, head of drama at Scalby School, who wrote to say that he uses the iPad to check Scarborough news daily.

“I have been a teacher for 13 years now and have always been crazy about new technologies,” he said.

“I remember the first iPod being released 10 years ago and the iPad was something I had to have as soon as it was first released.

“I downloaded the Scarborough News app on the first day it was released.

“It is quick and very easy to use. I love using the app.”
