YOUNGSTERS from a Scarborough performing arts school helped raise the roof at a Christmas fair, helping a church raise £1,800.
Hatton’s performing arts members were just one of the attractions at the fair, which was held at St Mark’s Church on Saturday.
Joining the talented youngsters were members of the Girl Guides, as well as a visit from Santa himself.
The Rev Mike Leigh, from St Mark’s, said: “The whole day was very busy. There was a massive line to see Santa, and the ladies nail store was also very popular.”
He believes that £1,800 is possibly the most the church has raised at one of its twice-yearly fairs, and it will be spent on the church.
