Affordable housing provider Home Group has invested £6.2million to create 60 homes at the Middle Deepdale development.

The homes have been built by housing and community regeneration specialist Keepmoat.

Members of Eastfield Town Council were shown the new two and three bedroom homes ahead of the first families moving into the new properties.

The homes, which form part of a much larger development on the site, will be occupied by people on local housing waiting lists or those wanting to get a foot onto the housing ladder.

Of the 60 homes, 48 are for rental customers and the remaining 12 available for shared ownership.

Shared ownership enables people to work towards outright ownership.

Sophie Round, Home Group delivery manager, said: “We’re delighted people are starting to move into these high quality, modern homes.

“We’ve enjoyed working with Keepmoat and we were proud to show these homes off to local councillors.

“We’re confident these homes will contribute to the wider community.”
