Commuters travelling between Scarborough and York are this evening facing severe delays and cancellations to train services after cows were hit on the line.
Services between Seamer and Malton have been cancelled after the 15.48 train from Scarborough to Liverpool hit seven cows.
Later services are expected to be delayed into the evening.
J Dodsworth and SS Suncruisers bus services are conveying passengers between Scarborough and Malton via Seamer in both directions until further notice.
Arrangements have been made for First Transpennine Express rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
