Six injured in two collisions

TWO motorists were injured after a collision on a busy Scarborough road.

The incident, involving a blue Ford Escort estate and white Volkswagen Golf, happened at the entrance to the Park and Ride car park, in Seamer Road, at around 1.40pm on Saturday.

The driver of the Ford was taken to hospital on a spinal board after complaining of back pain, and the driver and passenger of the Golf were also treated for minor injuries.

Police were also called to another incident on Saturday after a van and car collided in Stepney Drive.

The collision involved a white Vauxhall Movano parcels delivery van travelling up the hill, and a Honda Civic going in the opposite direction, at around 1.25pm.

The van driver and the driver and passenger in the Civic were taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries.
