POLICE have officially named the Scarborough man who died at the weekend after he was hit by a train.

A British Transport Police spokesman confirmed that he was 21-year-old James Bean from East Ayton.

He added: “We and North Yorkshire Police attended the incident which was reported to police at 6.09pm.
