FIRST-CLASS chamber music will be played at the Stephen Joseph Theatre tomorrow, at 7.30pm.
The Cropper Welsh Roscoe Trio will perform piano trios by Haydn, Mozart and Tchaikovsky, in the round.
Peter Cropper, Moray Welsh and Martin Roscoe are giants in their instrumental fields.
When they perform together there is a magical energy and chemistry which gives the performance an exciting edge.
Peter is a renowned member of the international chamber music scene and is the founder and leader of the Lindsays, one of Britain’s finest quartets. Moray Welsh was principal cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra for 15 years and maintains a busy diary as soloist and chamber musician, directing his own string sextet, the Arienski Ensemble. Martin Roscoe is a versatile musician who flourishes in performance, whether as a concerto soloist, recitalist or chamber musician.
The Daily Telegraph described a previous recital by the trio as a “performance of powerful physical and emotional presence”.
The trio will give a free, informal talk about their programme at 6pm.
