CELEBRITY chef Gino D’Acampo has been filming a new show for ITV1 at Ox Pasture Hall in Scarborough.
The 34-year-old Italian will appear in a programme called “There’s No Taste Like Home”, which will be on our screens later this year.
He is on a nationwide hunt to celebrate home cooks and their incredible family heritage dishes.
Gino will take these unsung family heroes, and their recipes that have been passed down the generations, out of the home and into a professional kitchen.
Together they will serve up their home cooked favourites to paying customers. In a dramatic show climax, Gino will award one of the dishes a coveted place on the restaurant’s menu for a month to prove There’s No Taste Like Home.
A spokesman from Ox Pasture Hall said: “The staff thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would like to say how professional the ITV production team was from start to finish.
“All the staff thought Gino D’Acampo was very charming throughout the filming, going out of his way to be friendly to all the staff, whether they were involved in the filming or not.
“Even at the end of a long day, Gino took time out to be photographed with the staff. It was a pleasure to have Gino and his film crew at Ox Pasture Hall.”
Gino started training the Luigi de Medici Catering College at the age of fifteen, inspired by his grandfather who was a head chef.
