PLANS for a new sports facility at Scarborough’s university campus are up for discussion at the next meeting of the Urban Space Group.
The group is due to meet on Thursday January 12, when it will be given an update from the architect responsible for the proposed development.
The proposals for the University of Hull Scarborough Campus include a sports hall, fitness suite, studio, seminar room, and changing and social spaces.
Nick Hart, chairman of the Urban Space Group, said: “Following their earlier presentation to our meeting back in October, the team now have some revised designs available for consideration and would like to talk again to Urban Space as part of their public consultation.
“Everyone is encouraged to attend to comment and lend their support.
“The full application is yet to be submitted, and so this is an opportunity to make a constructive contribution to the process before the proposal is finalised.”
The agenda for the meeting also includes discussions surrounding the application for the continued development of The Sands.
This item will be the second part of the group’s two month consideration of the proposal.
The meeting will be held in the Cavalier Suite of the Royal Hotel, starting a 7.15pm.
