Emergency services were called to a collision involving two vehicles in Cloughton.

The A171 at Cloughton Bank, near Scarborough, was closed but has now been reopened.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has tweeted that persons were trapped at the incident.

Ambulance crews are in attendance but injuries are not believed to be serious.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 12.30pm today to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A171 at Cloughton."
