Venues mark Olympic day

SCARBOROUGH Art Gallery and the Rotunda Museum are throwing open their doors to celebrate the Olympic Games.

The two venues will welcome visitors free of charge on Monday, June 18, when the Olympic Torch passes through Scarborough.

There will also be a steel band playing on the day, with people encouraged to go along and wave flags to cheer the flame as it passes by.

The venues will be open from 10am until 4pm.
