Yesterday’s annual event featured a number of different competitions including an egg and spoon race, tennis ball race and the ever-popular duck race.

Organiser Cllr Andrew Backhouse said: “I’m really pleased with how it’s gone - the weather has been amazing.

“It’s a great way of getting the villages together and the kids really enjoy it.

“We always finish off with the duck race and I normally end up in the beck.”
