St Catherine’s Hospice is looking for donations of empty jam jars following sizeable donations of harvest festival and garden produce.
Fundraiser Penny Campbell said: “All of the produce that is kindly given is converted by the kitchen staff to jams, jellies and chutneys which go on sale at the fair.
“Due to massive donations, the hospice is short of jam jars and we would be delighted if you could bring any of yours - plus lids please - to the hospice in Throxenby Lane.”
The Christmas fair is on Saturday November 9 from 10am to 1pm at the hospice. Entry is £2 for adults and £1 for children, which includes a hot drink and a mince pie. There will be stalls, gifts, cakes, biscuits, breads, plus, of course, jams and chutneys. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the day.
