A WOMAN has died following a fatal collision on Fylingdales Moor.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident, which occurred on the A169 Whitby to Pickering Road at Brocka Beck.
Emergency services were called just after 3pm on Sunday, January 29, after reports of a single vehicle collision involving a silver Renault Clio.
The car, which was being driven by a 25-year-old man from the Doncaster area, was travelling from Whitby towards Pickering when it left the road and overturned, before coming to rest on its side in a field.
A 24-year-old female passenger in the vehicle, also from the Doncaster area, was airlifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough where she later died from her injuries.
Police have not yet identified the woman, but are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the silver Clio prior to crash to contact them.

The road was closed for around six hours, reopening at approximately 9pm,.
Following the collision Police arrested the 24-year-old driver of the vehicle on suspicion of dangerous driving.
