A woman from the village of Castleton has died after a coach crash in Jordan, a Foreign Office spokesman has confirmed.
Carolyne Stanforth, 58, had relocated to London, but her mother lives in the Esk Valley village.
Mrs Stanforth was one of two British women killed in the crash, as well as three Iraqi women.
She died a day after the crash which happened while she was taking part in a UN-sponsored training course, according to local police.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office told the Evening News the family was being given consular assistance.
