WORK by Argentine artist Fabian Perez can be seen at Pinx next week.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1967, Fabian is best known for his paintings of the tango and portraits.
The women who feature in his artwork either worked for his father, who owned a nightclub of ill repute, or were involved in the artist’s adolescence.
“This seems to add to the allure of the pieces”, says Catherine Pinkett of Pinx. “They are all tastefully done and have a story to tell”.
Fabian, who has lived in Los Angeles for the last decade, was the official artist at the 10th Latin Grammy awards in 2009 and at last year’s winter Olympics.
Catherine says: “He is involved in our Olympics next year with Darren Baker, also one of our artists, who is currently painting the Queen”.
The Perez pictures can be seen next Wednesday to Sunday.
Pinx is in Huntriss Row.
