I am not going to enter into a debate with Godfrey Bloom or anyone else regarding the reality of climate change. We need to act urgently.
Two things are both equally necessary: mitigation, ie trying to prevent climate change from becoming even worse, and adaptation, ie preparing for the degree of change which is now inevitable.
We need to do both at local, national and international levels.
Both experts and ordinary people already know a lot about what is needed. We just need the personal and political drive and commitment to make action a reality.
We can all do something. And we can all vote for politicians who have that commitment rather than promising one thing and doing another.
