Dog fouling: council must play its part

I have read with interest the articles recently published regarding irresponsible dog owners and would just like to add a couple of comments. In recent months I have become increasingly frustrated at the lack of waste bins in which to deposit any ‘deposits’. As an example, if you take your canine friend for a stroll from the Spa complex to the old South Bay Pool you will discover that there are no waste bins at all between those two points.

So whilst we responsible dog owners will continue to clear up after our dogs I would ask that the council not only provide more accessible facilities but they also empty them more frequently in areas where there is a higher footfall of doggie walking. This may encourage more owners to clean up their acts.
