Re Keith Taylor’s letter regarding Miss Robinson.
I too have fond memories of her in the late Forties/early Fifties when I attended Hackness School.
I can remember taking jars of rose hips, which we had picked, to be weighed, Miss Robinson would give us pennies per pound.
Mr Taylor mentions his visits to Lockton and Levisham Post Office. My uncle and aunt, Reg and Ella Close, were Postmaster and Mistress at Lockton as far back as I can remember, staying there long after their retirement.
