Letter: Disgraceful lack of public facilities in Scarborough

I fail to understand the lack of comprehension by Scarborough Borough Council on the need for public toilets.
The dearth of public facility provision is discriminatory for so many in society. The dearth of public facility provision is discriminatory for so many in society.
The dearth of public facility provision is discriminatory for so many in society.

The dearth of provision is discriminatory for so many in society with age, mobility or health issues, preventing normal pursuits of browsing shops, taking restorative outings, or just walking about town.

Even within the Town Hall and the JobCentre, where waiting around for ages is the norm, none are provided nor close by, disgraceful.

The Falsgrave area’s WCs are firmly padlocked, Ramshill’s mothballed, and now Royal Albert Drive’s ones are to be casually discarded.

Scarborough Borough Council is boasting about all the improvements to the town encouraging more people in, just where are they to ‘go’?

Exactly why can’t proposed apartments incorporate public lavatories by a gated garage entrance?
