More victims of 1941 bombing

RE: THE 1941 bombing on March 18.

People were killed in Commercial Street. My baby sister being one of them, my mother and aunt both lost legs, and my father seriously injured, I was buried for 10 hours, sustaining only minor injuries.

Next door a lady and her two children died, further along two elderly sisters, and a teenage girl died. Seven houses were completely demolished at the time and a total of 13 houses were brought down.

I must apologise for the mistake in my original letter. At the time I was aware of only two people being killed in North Marine Road, and unfortunately have not heard before of the house bombed or the people who died in Queens Terrace.
