Poor provision of toilets

Have your say

Your article about the provision and state of seafront toilets reminds me that for years, I, and many others, have complained about the lack of public toilets in the main shopping area. Holidaymakers often ask where they are, and this in a major attractive holiday resort. Toilets are a basic human need, not some kind of luxury.

Apparently there is no law to make councils provide adequate public toilets, which is absurd. The law must be changed.

Meanwhile commonsense should prevail. It is absurd to be dependant on toilets in some shops, particularly in the crowded holiday season.

The excuse regularly made by some councillors and offices makes me wonder if they have normal bladders and bowels like the rest of us!
