Quick work to improve town’s parks

THANKS TO our council’s parks department for the quick response to my requests.

A shopping trolley that had been thrown from Glen Bridge and was hanging over the footpath below was removed immediately.

The lamppost near the bridge to the island which has been out has been fixed.

Illuminating this area and along with evening patrols of our park wardens the anti-social drinking that occurred near the bridge has stopped.

The wishing well looks smart again, the vandalised shingles on its roof having been replaced. Also the missing wheelchair route finger post in the glen has been replaced.

Thanks again to the gardeners and parks department team, your efforts are much appreciated.
