Time to stop unnecessary chopping down of trees

HERE is yet another case of someone standing up against the unnecessary action of chopping down trees that are in perfect health for trivial reasons only.

Mr Betty, along with Max Payne who recently had a similar situation and succeeded in saving a tree outside his house, is to be congratulated. Well done Mr Betty.

If this tree had been felled, I bet that the other trees in Throxenby Lane would also be under threat, if they are healthy and not in a dangerous condition all it needs is for the trees to be carefully managed, and the residents would benefit by their beauty for years to come.

Many residents in Irton have been involved in a similar case, well documented by the Scarborough Evening News. We also hope to “stop the chop”.
