EXERCISE proved to be the best medicine for a Scarborough Hospital fundraiser to help boost facilities for sick children.
Around 40 mothers and daughters came together for a fun Zumba day to raise £150 for the hospital’s children’s ward.
The event was organised by hospital staff member Kelsey Hodgson and took place in Compass Gym under the guidance of instructor Christina Ingham.
Ms Hodgson said the day had proved a great success and added the total had rise to £160 with donations received after the event.
She said: “It was really good fun and everyone had a laugh.
“We had around 20 mothers and 20 daughters and a real age range on the day with people taking part from two-years-old up to 80.
“t was great and I would also like to thank Christina at Compass Gym for giving up her time and allowing us to use the facilities.”
