Cayton will be looking to carry on their promising start to the season with a home win against Beckett premier division leaders Staxton on Saturday, 2pm start.

Jake McAleese and his father Steve have both been on top form with the ball in recent weeks, with paceman Jake in particular making a big impact on the top flight this season.

Nick Gibson has been the top run-scorer for Staxton this year, and possibly in the whole league. He weighed in with a fine 73 in his side’s win against Seamer last weekend, so the battle between himself and the younger McAleese should be a mouthwatering prospect.

Another top clash in the premier division sees fourth-placed Seamer travel to Ebberston.

The visitors will be eager to recover from their loss at Staxton, while Ebberston will be buoyant after their home success against Flixton 2nds.

Near the other end of the table, Flixton 2nds play host to Filey, while champions Heslerton make the long trip to Flamborough.
