EDDIE Craggs hit a top 73 as Ebberston B defeated Snainton by seven wickets.

Snainton went into bat first and posted 129-3, with former Ebberston batsman Jason Oakley, 39, and Dave Bell, 36, among the runs.

Ebberston reached their target for the loss of three wickets, led by Craggs and Tom Brickman, who scored 28.

Matty Oxtoby was another player in decent form with the bat as he helped his Oriel team get the better of Forge Valley B by 65 runs.

Oriel posted 150-7 with Sean Pinder, 3-18 bowling well for Valley. Valley were then skittled out for 85, Simon Saxton snapping up 4-9 for the winners.

Sam Carver, 55, and Alistair Limb, 50, both played a key role when Ganton beat Flixton B by 91 runs.

Ganton scored 164-6, Dave Brannan, 4-16, the pick of the Flixton bowling attack.

Flixton were bowled out for 73, Jordan Welford, 3-8, and Ajay Palakatil, 3-12, doing the damage.

Steve Staveley was unbeaten on 61 as Wykeham B saw off the challenge of Cloughton B by a comprehensive 10 wkickets.

Cloughton scored 88-5 with Steve Schmuck, 31, and Paul Goodenough, 34, scoring some runs.

Wykeham’s response was emphatic as they eased home without losing a single wicket.
