YOU have to admit, it has not been the best of starts in the one-day schedule for Yorkshire this season. But it is still very early days.
Jason Gillespie’s side have suffered so far in the NatWest T20 Blast, losing all threee games, while - ahead of Friday’s trip to Birmingham Bears - their confidence will have taken a knock from their opening Royal London Cup encounter on Tuesday which produce a heavy defeat at home to Worcestershire.
The Yorkshire Post’s cricket correspondent, Chris Waters, joins host Phil Harrison to discuss Yorkshire’s one-day aspirations and whether they can mount a serious challenge for honours.
We also touch upon the remarks made by Gillespie earlier in the week when his views on veganism caused something of a stir and, while England somewhat go through the motions in their third and final Test match against Sri Lanka at Lord’s, we discuss comments made by Alastair Cook on what should happen to players found guilty of cheating and whether his favouring of a lifetime ban is the way forward.
