Neil Elvidge was in fine form with the bat as he helped Flixton to a comfortable nine-wicket success at Bridlington in division one.

Hosts brid batted first and made their way to 199 all out from 48 overs, C Rudd’s 74 and 39 from N Tennant were their top scorers as youngster Harry Walmsley took 5-46.

Flixton had no problems reaching their target as Elvidge smashed 138 and Walmsley added to his efforts with the ball by hitting 35 as they made 203-1 in 40-3 overs.

Scarborough 2nds kept their division three south promotion hopes alive with a winning draw at Fenner 2nds.

Joe Padmore’s side made their way to 205-2 as Josh Mainprize hit an unbeaten 84, Theo Smith hit 56 and Jake Finnigan added 46.

Scarborough couldn’t quite get over the line though as Fenner ended their innings on 156-7.

Anthony Hunter took 2-28 and spinner Matty Kay 2-33, while Smith, Sam Carver and Jordan Welford all claimed a wicket each.
