Ben Elvidge maintained Scarborough's fine start to the season, hitting 107 and taking two wickets in their win against Driffield Town in Yorkshire Premier League North.

Elvidge struck seven fours and a couple of sixes in his 107 from 110 balls, sharing a fifth-wicket stand of 127 with Theo Smith (50), with opener Darren Harland having hit 28 as the North Marine Road club struggled early on.

Jamie Hopper was the pick of the visiting attack with 4-54 as Scarborough posted 248-7 from their 50 overs.

Former Scarborough batsman James Pick hammered 54 in reply, Grant Halder also hitting the same score, but keen bowling from overseas signing Bradley Scott (3-29) and Elvidge (2-25) saw Scarborough claim the win, Driffield making 190-9.
