Flixton were denied victory at Malton after a staunch last-wicket resistance helped the home side hold on for a losing draw in division one.
The away side were dismissed for just 138 after 37 overs as only Richard Malthouse, 49, and Neil Elvide, 31, managed to master the bowling of Chris Hudson, 5-28, and Wayne Dawson, 4-43.
Malton also found it hard going at the crease as they were reduced to 50-7 as Mikey Hunter claimed 4-15 from 12 overs in a superb spell of pace bowling, while Malthouse added to his efforts with the bat by taking 3-22.
The home side managed to hold firm for a losing draw as Ryan Gaughan face a huge 95 balls for just 18 runs and number 11 Simon Hird kept out five balls at the death to deny Flixton as they closed on 120-9 from 59 overs.
Scarborough 2nds were hammered by a huge 168 runs at New Earswick in division three south.
Prolific New Earswick batsman Andy James smashed a superb 131 while Andrew Routledge added an unbeaten 85 as Earswick mounted up a commanding 243-2 from 45 overs after Scarborough skipper Joe Padmore had won the toss and asked the home side to bat first.
Scarborough’s response never got going as Martin Hewiston took 4-28 and Andy Freeman claimed 3-24 as the away side were all out for just 75.
