MUSTON bowlers Gary Hanson and Barry Anderson took the honours as their side coasted to a win by 10 wickets against Heslerton 2nds.
Mal Spaven was the only Heslerton batsman to shine as he remained unbeaten on 34 in a final total of 83. Hanson grabbed 7-54 and Anderson polished off the other three.
In reply, it took Phil Marr (48no) and Ady Hammond (36no) 20 overs to knock the runs off.
Another side in form were leaders Commercial, as they also bagged a 10-wicket win against Bridlington 3rds.
Brid were skittled for just 36, with Dan Green bagging 4-24 and Sean Pinder grabbing 6-11.
Eric Hall then knocked these runs off with 27 not out in 3.2 overs.
Oriel also maintained their push for promotion when they beat Duncombe Park 2nds by 28 runs.
Paul Greenhough was the star of the show, as he started off with a knock of 47 in a tally of 141-8.
He then followed up with 6-45, which was backed by Jamie Haxby’s 4-3, which bowled out Park for 113.
John Trowhill picked up top figures in Flamborough 2nds’ defeat of Sherburn 2nds by six wickets.
The only Sherburn highlight during their batting spell was Dan Stocks’ 25, as Trowhill’s 7-38 and Tony Gilson’s 3-24 blew them away for 91.
Ben Briggs’ 31 and Brett Markwell’s 28 helped Flamborough past their target.
Brompton 2nds won by four wickets at Forge Valley 3rds.
Figures of 4-22 from Rhys Milner and 3-22 from Ross Triffitt saw off Valley for 113.
David Ledden slowed things down with his 3-27, but number eight batsman Scott Woodhead then struck 45 to guide Brompton to their victory.
