Flamborough won Driffield Evening Cup final, which was played over two 20-over innings per side on Sunday
Batting first, Flamborough made 127/7, thanks mainly to Simon Leeson’s 81 not out. He was helped by Casey Rudd with 18 as Filey’s Brannan took 3-44.
Despite Leeson’s heroics, Filey led after the first innings with Briggs (66no) and Bowes (65no) putting on a partnership of 137.
Flamborough replied with a 70 opening partnership of their own from Rudd and Leeson, before John Major added an unbeaten 39.
Brannan claimed 2-34 and Bowes 2-35 but Filey’s second innings saw Briggs and Bowes both removed by Ben Traves - Bowes falling to a brilliant caught and bowled.
Howard added 44 and Gilbank made 26 but Filey were all out for 102.
Man of the match Leeson took 4-24 and Traves finished with 2-19 as Flamborough won on aggregate by 15 runs
