Pinder fires Commercial

COMMERCIAL stay on track to retain their title after two wins in two games.

Sean Pinder’s men were all out for just 130 against Heslerton 2nds with Sean Pinder again dragging Commercial through to a decent score with 29, as he was supported by Scott Wardman, 29.

Pinder, as on many occasions in the past, also led the Commercial bowling attack, claiming 6-5, with Wardman again helping out his skipper with 3-4 as Heslerton were all out 42.

Oriel stayed top of the division after they came out on top against Brompton 2nds.

Jamie Haxby was their main man with both bat and ball as he first took 5-16, supported by Mally Dove (3-3) as Brompton were all out for 98.

Haxby then hit an unbeaten 41, supported by Adam Robertshaw (27) as Oriel knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets.

Adrian Hammond blasted a superb 130no as Muston smashed Bridlington 3rds by 154 runs.

Hammond was supported by Phil Marr (51) as Muston registered 234-5, before Barry Anderson (4-24) and Gary Hanson (3-33) as Brid were all out for 79.

Colin Arnott’s 61 and scores of 31 from Liam Poole and 29 from David Ledden helped Forge Valley 3rds to 182-5 against Flamborough 2nds, before they fell short on 163-7 replying.

Duncome Park 2nds sealed a closely fought victory against Sherburn 2nds.

Park chased down their target of 153 nine wickets down.

On Sunday, Brid 3rds bounced back from their defeat when they charged down their target of 115 against Flamborough 2nds for the loss of three wickets.
