SOME of the rising stars of local cricket were honoured at the Joe Lumb Taverners Awards Night at Scarborough Cricket Club.

The Scarborough & District Cricket Development Group awards were presented by Adrian Grayson, father of Leeds United manager Simon, who has been head of North Yorkshire Schools Cricket for the last 45 years.

Grayson was presented with a gift by Yorkshire and England under-15 batsman Ryan Gibson, on behalf of all the young cricketers from the area who he has helped over the years.
