Scarborough Cricket Club’s three teams were all sidelined by the wet weather on Saturday.

The second team’s match against Goole 2nds at North Marine Road in the York League division three south was abandoned due to rain without a ball being bowled.

The first team’s Yorkshire League game at Driffield was abandoned after 38 overs due to rain, the visitors probably being glad of the intervention as they were struggling on 104-7 at the time.

The third team’s match at Fylingdales in division B of the Readers Scarborough Beckett Cricket League also fell victim to the weather.

In the York League first division Flixton’s match at Pickering was also washed out.
