Two of the Scarborough & District Development Group’s younger stars hit top form for Yorkshire this week.
Harrison Wood and Sebastian Grace, who are both Scarborough CC players, impressed for Yorkshire under-11s B in their game against Lincolnshire.
Sebastian, whose father Kevin is president of Scarborough CC, struck a superb 51 for the Tykes as they posted 143-4, then Harrison finished with outstanding figures of eight overs, seven maidens, two runs and two wickets as Lincolnshire were skittled out for 46.
Scarborough CC will host the 90th anniversary of the Yorkshire Schools Cricket Association next year, which will be celebrated the day before the 2013 Scarborough Cricket Festival.
There will be a game between Yorkshire and Lancashire under-15s and a dinner at the marquee as well to commemorate the anniversary.
