This event at Wykeham was part of the national Kwik Cricket competition sponsored by Asda.

Seamer batted first in the final and scored 249-4, and despite a brave effort by East Ayton they fell narrowly short on 238-6.

Both the finalists had won their groups, Seamer winning all three of their group matches, while East Ayton topped Group Two on the least wickets lost rule, as they finished with eight points, the same as runners-up Northstead and Cayton.

In the semi-finals Seamer batted first against Northstead and made 246-2, the latter making 220-5 in reply.

In the other semi-final Overdale posted 231-6 and East Ayton racked up 265-4 in reply.
