Scarborough dropped back into the bottom two of the Yorkshire League table after their defeat by 111 runs against Harrogate.
Scarborough just didn’t have enough with the bat as they dropped away from Harrogate’s total of 268-9.
Harrogate looked to be on for a huge total as Alex Twigg (107) and George Ross (81) carried them to 251-4.
Ross became the first of six consecutive wickets for skipper Andy Simpson though, as he put the brakes on and slowed Harrogate up.
Scarborough’s reply just never got going, as they found themselves at 75-5.
Chris Grey’s 32 gave them a faint glimmer of hope, but Tom Geeson-Brown and Scott Huntley both took three wickets each to bring things to a close.
