Beckett Premier League leaders Staxton were dumped out of the National Village KO by a strong Woodhouse Grange side yesterday.
Despite holding home advantage and bowling well, Grange made their way to 207-2.
Staxton’s wicket takers were Andrew Holtby and Linden Gray.
Grange’s bowling attack were on song with the ball in reply and Staxton were all out for just over 100.
Gray and Andy Dove were the only home batsmen to really trouble the scorers.
Staxton’s Chris Dove said: “They were a very good side.
“We did well to keep them to 207, but their bowling attack was very strong.
“Linden batted and bowled well for us, but they were a very strong side.”
