The all round ability of Harry Walmsley represented the difference between Flixton and Driffield 2ndd as his 3-27 and later 45 enabled Flixton to win by two wickets in the York Senior League’s first division.
Driffield’s top bat man was Owen Goldsworthy who made an unbeaten 69, while Will Norman added 25 and Nicky Johnson struck 32 in a total of 173-8.
Walmsley’s batting was then supported by Stuart Stocks who made 36 and cancelled out the bowling efforts of Johnson who took 5-46.
Scarborough 2nds recorded a comfortable 52-run victory over Stamford Bridge in division C south after posting a target of 158-9.
Their main batsmen were Kieran Howard with 32 and Tom Bussey who made 25. For Stamford, Andy Winfield took 4-36 and Rob Hewitt 3-36.
Mark Fairweather then made an unbeaten 33 but Stamford fell to 106 all out as Theo Smith turned in figures of 6-31.
