Flixton claimed victory in the penultimate over of their York League division one thriller at home to Bolton Percy on Saturday.
The visitors had the in-form Peter Houseman (76) to thank as he passed 50 for the fifth time this season and Ed Noble made 42 in a total of 216 as a trio of bowlers each took three wickets,
Jamie Nesfield was the pick of the home attack with 3-36, and was well supported by Harry Walmsley (3-45) and Chris Mann (3-53).
Nesfield then contributed 38 to the reply and Walmsley 41 but it was largely down to Anthony Stones’ flamboyant 88 that the hosts recorded a notable victory despite the efforts of Tom Atkinson (3-54).
Scarborough returned to winnings ways, having lost their last two, beating visitors Clifton Alliance by 49 runs in the permier division.
Yorkshire’s Ryan Gibson (64) top scored for the home side as they were bowled out for 190, with Alex Renton (3-55) and Richard Carroll (3-50) both among the wickets.
Alistair Wray made 44 and Renton 36 in response but Anthony Hunter (3-31) and Jack Holt (3-41) ensured they were never in a position to mount a serious challenge.
Scarborough 2nds claimed a winning draw at Goole Town to stay on top of division three south.
Jake Finnigan top scored with 65 as Scarborough declared on 252-9, Darren Mills smashing 51 and Charlie Roberts 36.
Goole then hung on with 190-8 as they denied Scarborough victory, but the latter still managed to secure 27 points from the winning draw.
