Scarborough Ladies FC Under-12s Reds earned a 1-0 City of York Girls League win at Bishopthorpe in very testing conditions.

The visitors soon knew that they were up against a very organised home team.

The game started off very tight and both teams created little for the first 20 minutes but then Layla Horne made a great tackle stopping a Bishopthorpe attack then produced a beautifully weighted pass which put Amelia Dickinson through. The latter took the chance with an excellent shot into the bottom corner of the net.
